Israeli Foreign Minister: Iran had planned terrorist attack against Israelis in

Iran attempted to attack Israelis in Cyprus, but the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus prevented the attack. This was stated by the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar. In his post, the minister did not specify what kind of attack it was or when it occurred. Gideon Saar writes that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the terrorist wing of the Iranian regime, attempted to carry out an attack against Israeli citizens in Cyprus.

"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps - the terrorist wing of the Iranian regime - attempted to carry out an attack on Israeli citizens in Cyprus. Thanks to the activity of the Cypriot security authorities, in cooperation with the Israeli security services, the terrorist attack was prevented. Israel thanks Cyprus for its swift and effective actions. The criminal Iranian regime is deliberately targeting Israeli civilians both in Israel and abroad. Israel will continue to act to eliminate the existential threat posed by the terrorist Iranian regime, " the post on Saar's "X" reads.

Cypriot authorities confirmed they have arrested a British man on suspicion of terrorism and espionage-related offences. Cypriot media reported that the suspect had been monitoring the British military base in Akrotiri, as well as a Cypriot base, since mid-April. It is not yet known whether the man is connected to the plot uncovered by the Israeli minister.
