Renowned journalist and teacher, Vehbi Furxhi, has passed away at the age of 84.

Furxhi was one of the cultural leaders in Korça. He contributed to the development of many cultural and artistic activities, also bringing innovations in the field of journalism.

Furxhi led Radio Korça for a long period, enabling this media institution to become one of the most important in southeastern Albania.

After retirement, he continued to contribute to the field of education as a teacher at the agricultural high school.
