Albanians 'invade' New York, thousands march in the Red and Black

The Albanian community in New York held its annual parade through the streets of the "Big Apple", dressing one of the most prominent areas of this city in red and black.

Thousands of Albanians, young and old, with drums and cymbals marched through Central Park in West Manhattan, bringing a taste of Albania to the heart of America for several hours.

This year, the parade was again organized by "Albanian Roots", with regular Marko Kepi giving the welcome speech.

Before the parade, the mayor of New York hosted a reception for the Albanian community at his residence.
