DP candidates demand recount/ Berisha: We are not blocking anyone

DP Chairman Sali Berisha was asked during today's conference about the democratic candidates who have requested a recount of the preferential votes of the May 11 elections.

Berisha said he did not know how many candidates had requested a recount, but said that anyone who wanted to do so was free and the DP would not block anyone.

He emphasized that if there were any unscrupulous people, they will be identified and a legal stance will be taken against them.

" The electoral farce is an undeniable, indisputable reality, and what you say, 2 3 4 verifications, irregularities, these do not refute anything we say."

As for the candidates, I don't know how many have requested a recount, but anyone who wants to is free to do so. We are not blocking anyone from doing transparency.

"Not at all. If there were unscrupulous people, they will be identified and a legal stance will be taken. This is unquestionable. We do not have two standards here, but we do not have Edi Rama's standard that prohibits transparency," said Berisha.
