The LVV candidate for Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, MP Albulena Haxhiu, has asked the parties that were in opposition in the last mandate to exercise their right to vote.

"There are MPs who come to the Assembly, but they do not know why they come. Each LVV MP in each constitutive session has been present to contribute to the constitution of the Assembly. Today was the 16th session from the moment when the vote to move to a secret ballot was proposed, and in none of them has there been even minimal efforts by opposition MPs to participate in the vote," she stated.

 "We are not saying to necessarily vote in favor, but to vote against or abstain," Haxhiu added. She said that this situation is worrying.

"There are 24 sessions including today. This situation is of course worrying, but as far as the LVV is concerned, we have addressed every obligation we had with the Constitution, with the rules of procedure of the Assembly. It is the responsibility of all deputies to participate in the vote and find ways to constitute the Assembly", declared deputy Haxhiu.

"Even in Osman's letter it is said that it is up to everyone to find a way to constitute the assembly, not to block it". It is extremely important that the opposition abandons blocking positions, so that we are at the service of the citizens and in accordance with the Constitution. We are also awaiting the decision of the Constitutional Court on the secret commission, a matter that was sent by the AAK", declared Haxhiu.
