Kosovo-Albania arms trafficking, Tirana Court leaves 8 arrested in prison

The Tirana Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on 8 arrested people accused of arms trafficking.

The trial panel accepted the request of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.

The list of those arrested includes: Emirel Tusha, Leandro Haxhiaj, Fabricio Berberi, Rikardo Hajdaraj, Visar Murati, Kevin Farruku, Geraldo Muraj and Adriano Shehu. None of them declared anything before the court.

The defense has raised claims that the arrests were carried out in violation of the law, arguing that the police are using incentive purchases to encourage illegal actions. The lawyers asked that the arrest be considered unlawful, noting the lack of criminal records for their clients.
