Nesho: Rama's autocratic regime has not allowed free elections to take

Former diplomat Agim Nesho stated that the country is facing a deep democratic crisis, where Edi Rama's regime has destroyed the basic principles of free elections and usurped institutions through autocracy and corruption.

Invited to Syri TV, he said that Albania urgently needs a technical government to guarantee real conditions for fair and competitive elections, so that citizens can vote freely and legitimize representative institutions.

" This is a battle that will continue. The Democratic Party has started this fight from its beginnings, not only with suspicions, but with concrete facts that show that the regime of Edi Rama, an autocratic regime, has not allowed free elections to take place. This regime has abused its power and cannot leave it without facing justice before its own people.

It should be noted that there have been previous activities and resolutions drafted, including those by conservative parties and the European People's Party (EPP), which have sensitized public opinion. However, none of the international factors had foreseen an electoral massacre of this magnitude, such as the one that occurred in Albania. This happened due to Rama's insecurity, as it was clear that a wind of change was blowing in the country, which the people were openly expressing in meetings and rallies, with significantly greater support compared to the ruling party.

"Not only the facts presented so far - which are already known from the preliminary report of international observers - are important, but also many others that have been observed, but have not yet been processed, as they are being supplemented with additional evidence collected by the opposition and citizens who do not accept this reality. They, despite feeling insulted, frustrated and in many cases forced to leave the country, are sensing the beginning of an era of dictatorship in Albania ," said Nesho.
