A bomb alarm caused panic this evening in a hotel on "Abdi Toptani" street, in the center of Tirana. The police reacted immediately by surrounding the area and evacuating hotel staff and customers, while engineering forces were called in to check and verify the information.

According to the official announcement of the Tirana Police, around 19:35, an employee of the hotel staff notified the operating room, claiming that she was contacted by an unknown person, who informed her about the placement of a quantity of explosives in the hotel parking lot.

"Numerous police forces immediately arrived at the scene, which surrounded the area and evacuated the people present at the hotel. The engineering forces have been notified to carry out the necessary control and verifications," the official statement of the police states.
