Meta tells the story of his arrest: Foreign friends warned me and offered me political asylum! Here's why I rejected them

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, who has been imprisoned since October 2024, has revealed for the first time that he was warned that he would be arrested.

In an interview given to SYRI.net, Meta revealed, among other things, that he had been offered political asylum, but he had categorically refused, stating that he would face the drug regime.

Meta further unexpectedly thanked SPAK, as according to him, 'without its comprehensive and tendentious investigations, I would not have learned many truths, I would not have proven many lies and I would have continued to believe in people who were never like that.'

Interview with the president of PL, Ilir Meta:

Question: Mr. Meta, how is your case going?

Answer: I believe that the esteemed lawyer Mr. Cakrani is continuously informing the public opinion with the farce of the century fabricated by the Narcoregime and its tools.

Question: It seems he is so sure that he has said he is ready to pledge his wealth for your release. Are you that poor?

Answer: I believe that attorney Cakrani has himself expressed this willingness, expressing his belief not only in my innocence, but also in my character.

I wasn't worried that I could leave, because that very day I was returning from Kosovo.

Likewise, one of the main goals of the Narcoregime that publicly ordered SPAK from the PS tribunes to arrest me was precisely my departure, because in this way I myself would be blamed for all those slanders invested against me for two decades.

Since Arben Ahmetaj's departure, every week Dumani called trusted journalists, informally telling them that Meta would be arrested this week or that week, that the order came from X country and X island.

And you remember the news that came out every day.

Likewise, on October 21, 2023, I was in Austria for a medical check-up, the day Prof. Jamarbër Malltezi was kidnapped at the airport and SPAK attacked Sali Berisha, an interesting message came to the person who was with me from an associate of Charles McGonigail, who told him in short that this is the beginning, that the goal is with Meta.

Likewise, I received many phone calls asking where I was, as news had spread that I was going to Hungary for political asylum.

Even a well-known and sympathetic opposition journalist told me not to come back until things calm down.

On Friday, I told them, I'll arrive in Rinas in the afternoon, tell everyone to wait for me.

Many friends, both well-known and international, not only warned me that they would arrest me, but also offered me support for political asylum in EU and NATO countries.

I falenderova shumë për përkujdesin e tyre, por u thashë se unë s’mund të realizoj ëndrrën e armiqve të vendit tim dhe mercenarëve të tyre, që nga Rama e gjithë veglat e tyre në drejtësi e kudo.

Nëse do kishin një provë apo fakt penal, sado minimal, ata kurrë s’do kishin inskenuar atë rrëmbim mafioz që në historinë e Gjykatës së Strasburgut do hyjë si precedent më skandaloz deri më sot.

Ata i arritën disa qëllime afatshkurtra, si izolimin tim ekstrem, dobësimin e fuqisë opozitare në publik, frikësimin e shumë njerëzve, por në afatgjatë fitorja më takon mua dhe gjithë patriotëve.

Ata shpresuan që përmes izolimit ekstrem dhe përpjekjeve për të korruptuar disa nga personat që komunikonin me mua, të krijonin prova apo fakte penale, siç bënë me kolegun e tyre Veliaj.

Edhe zvarritjet e hetimeve të nisura nga Dumani që në Dhjetor 2019 me urdhër të Ramës e McGonigal, i shtyjnë qëllimisht për të zvarritur gjyqin në themel, i cili do jetë i hapur.

Pyetje: A keni besim te drejtësia?

Përgjigje: Te drejtësia po dhe prandaj gjithmonë kam respektuar ligjin, por kurrësesi te Ramaforma, të cilën e kam denoncuar e çmontuar në çdo moment që nga koha si Kryetar i Parlamentit, President i Republikës (madje edhe në Komisionin e Venecias) e kudo.

Në një vend ku Kryeministri thotë se shpatën ia kam dhënë Dumanit për të goditur e izoluar kundërshtarët e mi, nuk mund të pritet drejtësi.

Në një vend ku kreu i SPAK-ut deklaron publikisht se gjykatat vendosin çfarë kërkojmë ne, s’mund të pritet drejtësi.

Por drejtësia do të vijë dhe ajo ditë do të jetë shumë më e shpejtë se ç’e mendojnë këta mendjelehtë e mercenarë që i bashkon shumë fort afera McGonigal, por edhe shumë të tjera.

Pyetje: Retorika juaj kundër SPAK-ut mbetet e pandryshuar dhe shumë kritike. Ndërsa ndërkombëtarët japin vlerësime.

Përgjigje: Vlerësimet e vërteta për SPAK- un, pas 5 vitesh, i jep vet përshkallëzimi skandaloz i korrupsionit dhe vet Narkoekonomisë.

Vlerësimet e vërteta do vijnë shumë shpejt, pas paralajmërimit të shumë organizatave ndërkombëtare në rezolutat e tyre, ku dënojnë përdorimin e gjyqësorit si armë politike kundër opozitës.

Mos harroni se edhe pa ndihmën e ‘ndërkombëtarëve’, si McGonigali e të tjerë si ai, Rama nuk do e kishte kapur totalisht drejtësinë.

Pastaj mos harroni se edhe drejtësinë e ‘plepave’ me ndërkombëtarët dhe Rajersonin e bëmë dhe pastaj e zhbëmë.

Çështjet e SPAK-ut sapo kanë nisur të mbërrijnë në Gjykatën e Strasburgut, pavarësisht zbardhjeve të qëllimshme që bëhen këtu nga njëra gjykatë në tjetrën.

SPAK-u është aleati më i ngushtë i Edi Ramës në garantimin e paprekshmërisë së tij dhe kollonës vertebrale të regjimit që është krimi i organizuar dhe elektoral, i cili ‘luftohet’ vetëm pasi vijnë kërkesa nga partnerët ndërkombëtarë dhe në mënyrë fiktive (kuptohet edhe pasi vidhen zgjedhjet).

However, I have one thing to thank SPAK for, because without its comprehensive and tendentious investigations, I would not have learned many truths, I would not have proven many lies, and I would have continued to believe in people who were never like that.

So I give this credit to SPAK.

And this will greatly help me and the Freedom Party for the future, which belongs to the patriots.

Likewise, I would never have done this 8-month detox and have the physical parameters I had when I was doing sports.

And at the same time, I would not have known many loyal friends who care about me, with whom we have a long road ahead for Albania with 4 million plus Albanians.

This battle is weeding out looters and raising politicians of great causes.
