AKU announces that it blocked over 1 KV of cheese in Shkodra, but does not

The National Food Authority in Shkodra announces that it has blocked a quantity of 114 kilograms of sheep's cheese, after conducting laboratory tests.

However, the NFA does not provide concrete information on the causes that led to this extreme measure.

"The AKU informs that, based on the law on inspection, the measure of blocking the product and the immediate interruption of the production line has been taken, until the conditions for the resumption of activity are met.

But while the institution confirms the intervention and destruction of the product, the specific cause of the blockage remains unclear.

"Was there palm oil in the cheese?
Were there any milk powder residues?
Were there problems with hygiene and sanitation conditions or packaging?
Were there problems with packaging, labels?
None of these questions are answered by the AKU statement, further adding to the lack of transparency, at a time when consumer concern about food safety is higher than ever ," the AKU statement said.
