The fire situation in Pilur is still out of control, vacationers are in panic

The massive fire that has engulfed the Piluri Hills in Himara for several days is still active.

In a video received by Politiko.al, it can be seen that the army continues its efforts to extinguish the flames, but so far no results. 

Helicopters have been able to extinguish the flames with seawater since last evening, but new fires continue to flare up. 

Sources from the scene indicate that the situation has caused concern among business owners, given the fact that the summer season has begun and many vacationers have already booked their stays near the coast.

But the smoke has caused panic among the latter, and some of them have even been forced to leave.

Efforts to extinguish the flames continue with difficulty, also due to the rugged terrain, while so far there have been no reports of injuries, only significant areas of vegetation burned.
