Report on "May 11", MEP in the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council: SP benefited from the use of state resources in the campaign

Report on "May 11", MEP in the Parliamentary Assembly of the European

The report on the May 11 parliamentary elections in our country was today the focus of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. During the session, emphasis was placed on several problems and violations encountered.

Norway's envoy Jone Blikra said that one concern in the conduct of the elections was the fact that the ruling party benefited from the extensive use of state resources during the campaign.

"One of the main conclusions of the report is that the 2025 parliamentary elections in Albania took place in a highly polarized environment, and the candidates did not have a level playing field. It remains a major concern that the ruling party clearly benefited from the extensive use of state resources during the campaign. Therefore, progress is needed in political culture in the broader sense, to strengthen public trust and ensure that good governance extends to all levels of society, which starts with elections that fully comply with European standards, " said Blikra.
