War/ Germany takes precautions in case of retaliation from Iran

The German government is taking precautions in the event of possible retaliatory attacks from Iran in close consultation with partners, foreign media write.

After the US attacked key Iranian nuclear sites this weekend, fears have grown about how Iran will respond. Iran has vowed to defend itself after the US dropped bunker-busting bombs on the mountain above the Fordow nuclear plant.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Donald Trump also raised the idea of regime change in Iran. Speaking today about the adoption of precautionary measures, a German official said: “We have been doing this since before the operations began. We will continue to do so. But we are making continuous adjustments and we are in very close and very constructive consultations with our partners.”
