13 candidates in the race, SPAK extends the deadline for electing the new head

SPAK has postponed until tomorrow the deadline for the preliminary verification phase of the 13 candidates who have applied in the race to take over the leadership of the National Bureau of Investigation, following the end of the mandate of the current director Aida Hajnaj.

It is reported that the reason for the extension of the deadline was the irregular submission of documentation by most candidates. It is learned that out of 13 candidates in total, only 2 of them submitted all the documentation required for the first phase of the selection.

Among the names in the race are former heads of the State Police Haki Çako and Gledis Nano, current deputy director of the BKH Joni Keta, and prosecutor Andi Pogace.
