Vlora's cadastre as a 'powder keg', a democrat takes the lead after about 15 leaders withdrew in 6 years

Vlora's cadastre as a 'powder keg', a democrat takes the lead

After a wave of frequent changes at the top of the institution, the Vlora Cadastre continues to remain one of the most unstable structures of the state administration.

In just six years, approximately 15 leaders have left one after another, leaving behind a heavy balance of uncertainty and lack of transparency.

Against this backdrop of tension and uncertainty, the institution is now being led by Genc Deromemaj, the former head of the local branch of the Democratic Party.

Will this be a new chapter of stability or another brief pause in the turbulent history of this institution?

This remains to be seen.

He takes on this position following the departure of the previous head of this institution, Erjon Galanxhi, who resigned after only 3 months in office.

The position was temporarily held by Paola Sulaj, appointed to this role after Galanxhi's resignation.

This is the third change in the leadership of the Vlora Cadastre within the last two years, after the departure of Ina Luci and then Ergys Skënder, who also resigned from this position.

Before them, Erdet Mandi, who had been in office for 5 months, also left. He was dismissed by order from the Tirana Cadastre after being reported for abuse of office.

At the offices of the coastal city's Regional Cadastral Agency, three directors left within a month in 2019 because they failed to implement a Supreme Court decision regarding a coastal property.

The first to resign on September 9 was Florian Almadhi, who was replaced by Alteo Nazeraj. The latter did not last even 10 days in office and also announced his resignation.

Elona Hodaj was appointed in his place, who did the same thing on October 9. A year later, the Cadastre changed 7 directors, from Taulant Canameti to Andi Binaj.

This situation in the Vlora Cadastre has remained the same for several years, where property problems are not ending.
