Convicted of prostitution in Belgium, Arjan Kamami's hotel in Cërrik

The Elbasan Court has confiscated the assets of a person, who is suspected of having benefited from his criminal activity.

This concerns citizen Arjan Kamami, who was convicted in Brussels, Belgium for the criminal offense of "Practice of prostitution". A 2-story building, bar, restaurant and hotel, in cadastral area no. 2559 in the village of Malasej, Cërriku, has been seized from him.

The investigation has proven that Arjan Kamami does not justify the assets he has accumulated over the years with his income.

"The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Elbasan requested the confiscation as it suspects that the assets of citizen Arjan Kamami derive from his criminal activity in Belgium.

This citizen was convicted by a final decision by the Court of Appeal in Brussels for prostitution and was sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of 84 thousand euros, together with several other Albanian citizens. - the Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.

The prosecution reports that investigations continue for the other persons, who were convicted along with citizen Arjan Kamami in Belgium.
