The Investigation Directorate at the Tax Administration has launched investigations against 100 individuals and entities suspected of failing to declare income earned from social platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Google and PayPal.

According to preliminary verifications, it is suspected that the total value of undeclared income reaches 33 million euros.

"The Directorate of Investigation has launched an investigation into 100 individuals/entities for income derived from social platforms (Facebook; TikTok; YouTube; Instagram; Google; PayPal), where preliminary verifications suspect around 33 million euros of undeclared income.

"The Tax Administration announced on March 29, through social networks, that individuals and entities should fulfill their legal obligations through self-declaration in DIVA 2024. We invite taxpayers who have not yet reacted to fulfill this obligation as soon as possible, to avoid penalties and other measures that an in-depth investigation may bring ," the Tax Administration announced.
