Hostage taking in Tirana, 40-year-old man forcibly taken into car

Tirana Police have arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of a hostage-taking for weak motives in the capital. The incident was recorded in the area covered by Police Station No. 3.

As can be seen from the footage published by the Tirana police, the 34-year-old is seen forcibly taking the 40-year-old into the vehicle.

Preliminary investigations suspect that the 34-year-old, after forcibly taking the person, raped him with punches in the car.

"As soon as the case was reported, the Police services immediately intervened and organized actions to identify the perpetrator and document the circumstances of the incident. As a result, it was possible to capture and arrest citizen LR (P.), 34 years old, resident of Tirana," the police announced.

The vehicle used in the incident has been seized as material evidence, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further investigations.
