Patrol officer arrested in Tropoja after being caught with around 1,000 liters

The Police Supervision Agency (Kukës - Dibër Region) has arrested in flagrante delicto the police officer Inspector FK, serving as General Patrol Officer at the Tropoja Police Station, suspected of involvement in criminal offenses related to smuggling and disobedience to law enforcement.

According to the official announcement, the arrest was made following an incident that occurred on May 24, 2025, at around 6:00 PM, when the suspect, driving a "Volkswagen" type vehicle with a trailer loaded with a tank filled with fuel (diesel), crossed the customs territory of Qafë Morina, disobeying the orders of the Border Control Point and Customs services to verify the goods and follow the relevant procedures.

After the stop and investigative actions carried out by the authorities, it turned out that the amount of fuel loaded was 840 liters. The police officer is suspected of committing the following criminal offenses: “Smuggling of goods for which excise duty is paid”, as well as “Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer”.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further legal action.
