Rama: NATO Summit in 2027 will be held in Tirana

The 2027 NATO summit will be held in Tirana.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the news on social media, according to which this decision was taken unanimously at the June 24-25 summit in The Hague.

"The Hague, the NATO Summit unanimously decided to organize it in Tirana in 2027 ," Rama writes. 

The final declaration of the Summit states that Albania will host the next NATO summit after the one planned for next year in Turkey.

The NATO summit is expected to bring to Albania the leaders of the world's most powerful countries, including the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

On April 1, 2009, Albania became a full member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization – NATO.
