Wanted by German authorities, 22-year-old arrested at Morina border crossing

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man at the Morina border crossing, who was wanted by German authorities.

The young man was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Wiesbaden Germany, after in February 2025, the Cologne Court in Germany, imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" for this citizen, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Criminal group" and "Fraud".

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with its counterparts in Germany, is continuing the procedures for the extradition of the 22-year-old.

Police announcement:

The 22-year-old attempted to enter Albania while being wanted by German authorities, and was arrested for extradition purposes.

The Border Police Services in Morinë, following controls based on risk analysis and selective controls, to prevent the movement of citizens who are wanted, stopped at the entrance to Albania, in cooperation with the services of the DVP Kukës, citizen DP, 22 years old, resident in Germany.
