Meta welcomes the IDC-CDI resolution: 108 parties overturned the electoral farce

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has welcomed the Resolution adopted by IDC-CDI, the largest political organization in the world with a center-right orientation, which condemns the May 11 elections in Albania as manipulated and unrepresentative.

In a public reaction, Meta said that he fully supports this act and considered it a strong international message about the serious situation of democracy in the country.

"108 parties overthrew the electoral farce of May 11!" - declared Meta, describing the resolution as "very important".

According to him, the recent elections did not meet any international standards and openly violated the Copenhagen criteria. He accused the government of manipulating the electoral process through "state capture", collaborating with criminal groups and using intimidation and pressure on voters.
