Jola Hysaj after the result in Durrës: The vote may have been alienated

The candidate of the Democratic Party for deputy in the district of Durrës, Jola Hysaj, has reacted after the end of the May 11 elections, where she failed to secure a mandate in the Assembly, receiving only 1,444 votes.

In a public reaction, Hysaj said that she was informed that the vote of the citizens in her favor may have been alienated during the counting process. She describes this as a common wound and a pain that does not belong only to her, but also to many citizens disappointed by the electoral process.

Despite the allegations of manipulation, Hysaj emphasized that he will not turn this situation into a call for revenge or a "noise scene". She says that she chooses to preserve dignity and trust in the citizens, considering this moment as the beginning of a new stage in her political and social engagement.

"I know how painful it is to see how a voice, a vote, a belief can be stolen... but I still believe in you, in people who refuse to be silent when they see injustice", writes Hysaj.

She ends her post with gratitude to all those who stood by her and supported her during the campaign, emphasizing that this is not the end of the road, but a new beginning "truer, clearer and more human."
