Spanish MEP: Rama is alone and abandoned in Europe, elections in Albania under

Spanish MEP and Secretary General of the Center Democratic International (IDC-CDI), Antonio Lopez Istruiz, has issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing him as an "abandoned prime minister in Europe", while he considered the recent elections in Albania to be "very questionable".

Speaking from Abixhani during a high-level meeting of IDC-CDI, Istruiz raised the alarm about the state of democracy and stressed the need to react against regimes that, according to him, are harming the values of freedom and representation.

"When democracy is in danger, silence is not an option. We must act. We must express our concern about the recent elections in Albania," he said.

Lopez Istruiz recalled his visit to Albania, a few weeks before the elections, together with an IDC delegation, where according to him he had seen clear support for the Democratic Party and its historic leader, Sali Berisha.

"The result declared as a victory by the socialist candidate Edi Rama has been accompanied by many questions. He is the same one who sits like a clown in front of Giorgia Meloni. This is the prime minister of Albania today. This is the shame of the country," he emphasized in strong critical tones.

According to the Spanish MEP, Edi Rama is already an isolated leader in the international arena and Albania needs a radical change.

"We have many examples in Europe, Africa and Asia where democratic values are at risk. What unites us is our common cause: the protection of democracy, freedom and human dignity," he said.

In conclusion, Istruiz emphasized that the Center Democratic International remains the largest and most respected center-right organization in the world and has the responsibility to lead the battle against authoritarianism on all continents.
