AMP arrests two police officers in flagrante delicto and suspends another from duty

The Police Supervision Agency has arrested two police officers in flagrante delicto, while another has been suspended from duty. The cases concern three cases of abuse in Korça, Elbasan and Tirana.

In Korça, the Head of the Inspection-Prevention Office at the Ministry of Road Safety was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a road accident. The alcohol test result was 1.07 mg/l.

In Elbasan, inspector BT, 54 years old, has been suspended from duty, suspected of abuse of office, as he is suspected of favoring drivers who violate road traffic rules.

Meanwhile, in Tirana, Inspector BM, 24 years old, serving as a General Patrol Officer, has been arrested, accused of stalking and exercising violence against his ex-partner.

Korce

 

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan-Korça Region) has arrested in flagrante delicto citizen AH, 57 years old, Head of the Inspection-Prevention Office, at the Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health Service in the Municipality of Korça, suspected of "Irregular driving" and "Leaving the scene of an accident".

 

His arrest was made after, while driving a Volkswagen Passat on the Korça city ring road, he collided with a Mercedes Benz driven by citizen JS and then fled the scene. The accident only caused material damage.

 

After testing with the Drager device, it resulted above the allowed rate, at 1.07 mg/l.

 

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça.

 

Elbasan

 

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan Korçë Region) has executed the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, which has imposed the personal security measure of a prohibitive nature "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" against the police officer Inspector BT, 54 years old, with the duty of Service Body at the Road Traffic Commissariat in Elbasan, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

 

The security measure was imposed within the framework of the criminal proceedings of 2024, where, through in-depth investigative actions under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, it became possible to collect evidence and facts that create reasonable suspicion that the BT police officer favored various drivers who committed violations of road traffic rules,

 

Tirana

 

The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has arrested in flagrante delicto the police officer Inspector BM, 24 years old, with the duty of General Patrol Officer at Police Station No. 4 in Tirana, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Stalking" and "Other intentional damage".

 

His arrest was carried out following a complaint by citizen MH, 27 years old, who stated that BM, her ex-boyfriend, on 25.05.2025, exercised physical violence and constantly harassed her, causing insecurity in her life.

 

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana.
