Kurti meets with members of the US Congressional staff

Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti hosted today a delegation consisting of members of the US Congressional staff, part of the 2025 Balkan Forward Fellows program, as well as members of the Atlantic Council, organized by the renowned think-tank The Atlantic Council.

At the meeting, Kurti emphasized the special relationship between Kosovo and the United States of America, which has been strengthened over the years through bipartisan support in the United States.

During the conversation, Kosovo's path towards the European Union and the relevant reforms, the strengthening of Kosovo's international subjectivity, and the dialogue process with Serbia mediated by the European Union were discussed. Regarding the latter, the Prime Minister reiterated the importance of signing the Brussels Basic Agreement and its Annex agreed in Ohrid. 


The meeting also discussed the importance of economic sustainability and cooperation in the field of defense, as well as other issues of common interest.
