Officials of the Democratic Party of Kosovo have opposed the decision to allow businesses to enter the open energy market, saying that "one of the companies that has applied for licensing for the sale and purchase of energy is MDA, a company founded by Prime Minister Albin Kurti's chief of staff, Luan Dalipi.

So, the MDA of the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, which today is headed by Driton Dalipi, has applied for a license for electricity supply in our country. On the one hand, the prime minister sends his brother to the Department for the Sale and Purchase of Electricity in KEK and on the other hand, the prime minister's chief of staff asks for a license to sell electricity to these companies that have put them on the free market.

At the conference, MP Tahiri also announced that PDK has filed an administrative objection to the decision of the Energy Regulatory Office to allow businesses to enter the open energy market from June 1, describing this decision as illegal.

According to the Tahiri announcement, this decision affects about 1,300 businesses and over 140 thousand workers, risking massive bankruptcies, unaffordable price increases and a new wave of inflation that hits citizens and consumers.

On Thursday, the entrance to Pristina was blocked for almost two hours by a protest led by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce in a sign of dissatisfaction with this decision, which will come into force on June 1.
