DP demands repeat elections for Kukës, KAS postpones review of appeal

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission has postponed for the second time the review of the complaint of the Democratic Party for the Kukës region regarding the May 11 elections.

The KAS will meet again on Monday to consider the Democrats' appeal, after stating that it does not have sufficient evidence on the matter, but also that the data and claims raised by the Democratic Party must be verified.

The opposition claims that in the May 11 elections there was distortion of the diaspora vote, manipulation of results, use of state administration, pressure, and even other irregularities, such as the involvement of criminal gangs.

The DP has filed a complaint not only for Kukës, but for every district, demanding the invalidity of the May 11 process and the repetition of the elections.
