Accident in Italy, two young Albanians lose their lives


A tragic accident took place in Italy, where two young Albanians from Kosovo lost their lives as a result of a serious collision between two trucks. The serious incident was recorded in the South Tyrolean region, where according to Italian media, the victims were aged 19 and 20 and worked for a construction company in this area.

One of the victims is suspected to be Driton Sadikaj, originally from Deçan, whose identity has been confirmed by family members through social networks.

Volunteer firefighters, the White Cross medical team and the traffic police immediately intervened at the scene. However, efforts to come to the aid of the young people have been insufficient, as the injuries received have proved fatal for both of them.

A third person was seriously injured and is under the intensive care of doctors.

The Italian authorities continue the investigations to clarify the full causes of the serious accident that took the lives of two young people at the beginning of their lives. Meanwhile, the Albanian community in Italy and Kosovo has been shocked by the painful news, expressing condolences to the families of the victims.
