"The electoral process has been violated", Aulon Kalaja demands a

Aulon Kalaja, the candidate on the closed list of the DP-ASHM, has filed a request with the Central Election Commission for a recount of votes in the Durrës district.

Kalaja emphasizes that from reviewing the footage, it has been noted that there were many legal violations that violated the electoral process.

"We are filing this request today, in order to meet the deadline for the appeal, however, we ask you to provide us with the necessary time to analyze the film footage. If you were to immediately accept the opening and renumbering of the boxes, then it would be unnecessary to burden us with the burden of reviewing every film footage. But since this is part of your final disposition, we definitely ask you to provide us with a reasonable time to prepare before you begin reviewing the appeal."

We consider that our claims have been proven and the premise of the violations has been established, since the motive of the misrepresentation of the data has been established. We also reserve the right to add our research and arguments until the day of the review of the request, and also to present additional claims regarding legitimacy, given the workload and lack of physical time to conclude each argument.

On 26.05.2025, we have become aware of Decision No. 1327, dated 24.05.2025 of the State Election Commissioner "On the approval of the Summary Table for the Result in the Durrës District electoral zone, for electoral subjects and for candidates for deputies, in the elections for the Assembly of Albania of May 11, 2025". Disagreeing with this decision, because we assess that during the process of counting the electoral result from which this decision emerged, violations of the law occurred, which have seriously affected the electoral process, as well as the totality of the violations of the law, which occurred in this electoral zone has affected the electoral process to such an extent that it has affected the distribution of mandates, as will be proven during the administrative investigation, we are filing this appeal with the facts, legal provisions and legal reasoning", states the request filed by Kalaja.
