Ilir Alimehmeti appeals to the KAS the results of the elections in Tirana

Ilir Alimehmeti, DP-ASHM candidate for deputy in Tirana, has appealed the result of the parliamentary elections in the Tirana District.

In the request filed with the KAS, Alimehmeti requests a re-evaluation of the votes, by reviewing the video footage where irregularities were observed.

According to Alimehmet, there was an irregularity of about 5% of the votes counted.

REQUEST :

The State Election Commissioner, with decision no. 1326, dated 24.05.2025, has approved the summary tables for the voting results in the Tirana District electoral zone. Attached to this decision, in the summary table of the results for our electoral subject, it results that I, Ilir Alimehmeti, received 18,128 votes as an open list candidate, ranking second among the open list candidates. Referring to the total number of votes of the subjects according to these tables, only 1 deputy from the open lists can be elected from the lists of our electoral subject, who, referring to the provisions of the Electoral Code with the recently made changes, is the candidate with the most votes.

During the process of verifying the camera footage by our side, for a limited number of which were made available to us by the CEC administration, several irregularities were noticed that could significantly affect the change in the result. Under these conditions, I am submitting this complaint to the KAS, also based on the provisions of the Electoral Code.

Considering the fact that our subject 'PD-ASHM' has received 164,316 votes, the result for the candidates may change, given that the difference between me and the candidate ranked first on the list is extremely narrow, or about 1.2% of the total number of all votes of the subject. Only in VC 1834/00, it results that 27 preferential votes for Ilir Alimehmeti have been transferred to another candidate, being marked in the summary table as 0 votes.

The above voting centers create the belief that the count had problems throughout the Tirana District, creating cause for a recount and/or re-evaluation of all Voting Centers.

Based on the above data, finally:

Amendment of the Summary Table according to the recount and/or revaluation of votes.
