An accident was recorded this Friday on the national road axis Pusimi i Soferit - Divjaka.
It was reported that an 18-year-old man driving a vehicle hit a pedestrian as he was crossing the street near his apartment.
The victim has been identified as Ruhi Kurteshi, 92 years old, a resident of the village of Këmishtaj, who lost his life on the spot as a result of the strong impact.
The driver of the vehicle has been detained by the Police and is being questioned, while the investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
Authorities are calling on drivers to exercise increased caution on roads in residential areas and to respect the speed limit, to prevent such tragic events.
