Celibashi with foreign observers arrives at the Olympic Park for Diaspora votes

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, along with a group of foreign observers, has arrived at the Olympic Park in Tirana, where the envelopes received from the Diaspora's votes have been collected.

According to information from the Central Election Commission, 78.03% of the Diaspora voted in these parliamentary elections.

The envelopes received by the CEC are 191,912 out of a total of 245,935 for Albanians living abroad.

The last envelopes, about 100, arrived at 6:55 PM, just a few minutes before the deadline for delivery to the counting center.

This was the first time that the Diaspora participated in the May 11 parliamentary elections for 140 seats in the Albanian Parliament.
