The DP's delegate for the diaspora vote, Jozefina Topalli, spoke from the Olympic Park in Tirana, where the counting of the diaspora votes will take place.

Speaking to Euronews Albania regarding the diaspora vote process, Topalli said it is a technical issue and they are waiting to start. She said there will be around 190 thousand votes to be counted.

"We think it was a very beautiful day and we hope it ends just as beautifully. It is important to count the will of the Albanians. Perhaps it is a technical issue that the counting of the diaspora vote has not yet started. I want to thank all those from the diaspora who voted and those who came to vote. We expect a major turnaround regarding Greece. We have been denouncing publicly and through our lawyers at the CEC for more than ten days a process that has created serious concerns. Today we have fulfilled the request for a separate division of the ballot boxes, so that when the time comes we can analyze the process in Greece and verify the standards of implementation of the Electoral Code. There are doubts there about who did the distribution as a subcontractor - it is possible that it was the structures of the Socialist Party. We demand the verification of these serious doubts. There are about 190 thousand envelopes with votes to be counted," Topalli said.
