The political leader of the Democratic Party in the Durrës Region, Oerd Bylykbashi, has raised serious accusations against the Socialist Party regarding the electoral process in this region, denouncing the phenomenon of vote buying and intimidation of voters by persons with criminal records.

In a statement to A2 CNN, Bylykbashi stated that the boxes that have been opened so far belong to areas where, according to him, the will of citizens has traditionally been manipulated through vote buying.

" The boxes that have currently been opened are from the areas most historically affected by vote buying. The Socialist Party has used them as a basis for securing bought votes. We expect the boxes in the city of Durrës to truly reflect the will of the citizens for change ," said Bylykbashi.

He emphasized that the DP has referred to SPAK a large number of people involved in vote manipulation, but, according to him, the authorities have failed to act decisively.

Among the problems identified during the voting process, Bylykbashi highlighted the presence of unauthorized persons near voting centers, who, according to him, exerted pressure on voters with the support of criminal groups.

" The electoral process has been accompanied by serious violations. We have had open intimidation of voters, especially in the last week of the campaign. The much-vaunted Task Force did not function. Criminal organizations operated unhindered. In some cases, we have even seen electoral asphalt until the last hours before voting ," he declared.
