GJKKO seizes the apartment of the former mayor of Himara

GJKKO has seized the apartment of the former mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro. Goro's seized apartment is located in Vlora.

Goro is under investigation for the alienation of about 10 thousand m2 of land on the coast of Gjileka.

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Florjan Kalaja, today on 31.07.2024, announced the decision on criminal case no. 29, dated 26.07.2024 registration, registered on the appeal of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime, with object: "Appeal against decision no. 428, dated 15.07.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, for determining the measure of property security, preventive seizure", and decided:

1. Amendment of Decision no. 428, dated 15.07.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.

2. Accepting the request of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime.

3. The determination of the "Preventive Sequestration" asset insurance measure, based on and for the implementation of Article 274 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for property number ***, volume ***, page ***, Cadastral Area no. ***, property type "Apartment", total area 81.41 m2, property address ***, for the account of Criminal Procedure no. 189, of the year 2023 of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, in relation to the criminal offense provided for by Article 257/a/II of the Criminal Code, with a person under investigation by the ZJG

4. The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime and the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets are charged with the execution of this decision.

5. Anyone with an interest can appeal against this decision to the Supreme Court within 45 days, starting from the day after the reasoned decision is received.
