Wanted by Interpol Tirana, the Albanian woman is arrested in London

An Albanian citizen declared internationally wanted has been arrested in London, with the aim of extradition to Albania.

Wanted Albanian justice Aurela Sinani, 30 years old, was identified by Interpol Tirana as having arrived in England.

Then the Directorate for International Relations in the State Police passed the data to the extradition team in England.

Sinani is accused that in the period August 2020-September 2020 in the Albanian territory, in cooperation with others, he was involved in a fraud conspiracy, in receiving a disability pension, paying as bribes in two cases the sums of 70,000 Lek and 120,00 Lek.

According to the accusation, he paid these amounts to the doctors of the commission to benefit from this favor. From the moment of her arrest until the final decision of the extradition court she will be held at HMP Bronzefield Women's Prison.

This is the second case in Great Britain when an Albanian citizen is arrested for extradition purposes as required by Albanian justice.

In October 2023, according to documents from the extradition court in London, the extradition team at Scotland Yard arrested Lirie Delish.

The extradition court was told that Lirie Delishi, 25 years old, living in the north of London, is wanted because according to the indictment filed by Albanian justice, she is suspected of carrying a forged Romanian passport on the territory of Albania on 22/08/2019. which belonged to Simona Valcu.

It is further explained in the indictment that Delish intended to use this passport as if it were real by putting her photo on it.

Delishi is conducting extradition court hearings and has been released on bail following the decision made at Westminster Magistrates' Court by Judge DJ Zani.
