2 victims from landslide at construction site in Gramsh, company owner arrested

A serious incident was recorded a day ago in the village of Holta in Gramsh, where two young people tragically lost their lives as a result of the collapse of a mass of earth at a construction site.

The victims are citizens E. Ll., 32 years old, and AB, 22 years old, who were working at the construction site at the time of the accident. As a result, the young men were trapped and could not survive, despite efforts to save them.

In connection with this incident, the police have arrested the owner of the construction company, citizen Eduart Deliu, 45 years old, resident of Tirana, in flagrante delicto. He is charged with the criminal offense of "Violation of occupational safety regulations."

"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Gramsh Police Commissariat, following the investigative and procedural actions for the incident that occurred yesterday, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen ED, 45 years old, resident of Tirana, for the criminal offense of 'Violation of safety rules at work'", the police officially announced.

Investigations into the incident continue, and authorities are expected to clarify the full circumstances of this tragic incident that once again raised the alarm about the lack of safety in workplaces.
