The voting process in Gravë and Kardhiq, units of the Finiq Municipality, has not yet begun, despite more than two hours having passed since the official opening of the polling centers.

The reason for this delay was the absence of commissioners on duty, who did not show up for work, preventing the start of the electoral process.

To resolve the situation, law enforcement agencies have been mobilized. Police officers have headed to the commissioners' addresses to forcibly bring them to the polling stations.

According to the electoral law, the failure of commissioners to appear on election day may constitute a criminal offense and result in legal prosecution for those responsible.

Today, parliamentary elections are taking place in Albania, with over 3.7 million citizens eligible to vote. For the first time, the Albanian diaspora is also part of this process.
