The race for the new head of SPAK opens today. Arben Kraja is about to leave his post as head of SPAK. His 3-year term ends on December 18, but the rule stipulates that the High Prosecution Council must open the race 3 months before.

Edvin Kondili, Klodian Braho, Andand Xholi are the candidates who have shown interest in running the most important prosecution body in the country.

Who are the candidates for SPAK leadership?

CLAUDIAN BRAHO

Klodian Braho graduated from the Magistrate's School in 2005-2008 and was then appointed prosecutor in Berat. In 2012, Braho was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora where he also held the position of deputy director, while in 2015 he was appointed to the Prosecutor's Office of Serious Crimes.

Afterwards, he joined the SPAK team. Braho is also known as the prosecutor who investigated former chief prosecutor Adriatik Llalla, who was his superior. He also signed the arrest of former Environment Minister Lefter Koka for the incinerators issue. Braho has taken the case to the charge of the former mayor of the Municipality of Vlora, Shpëtim Gjika, for trial.

EDWIN CONDILL

Edvin Kondili kandidon për të dytën herë për drejtimin e SPAK-ut.  Kondili ka qenë prokuror i Krimeve të Rënda, që ka pasur gjithashtu në dorë dosje të rëndësishme. Kondili është mes prokurorëve që refuzuan shortin për dosjen Shullazi.

Kondili ka hetuar më parë dosjen e vendosjes së tritolit në farmacinë e babait të ish-ministrit të Brendshëm, Saimir Tahiri. Gjithashtu, Kondili është prokurori që ka bërë veprimet e para për sekuestrimin e 613 kg kokainë në Portin e Durrësit. Kondili ka një sërë çështjesh të trafikimit të kanabisit, por edhe dosje të tilla si “Lazarati”, por edhe dosjen e Alket Hatijas.

ADNAN XHOLI

Adnan Xholi has held leadership positions in the local prosecutor's office, as well as for many years in the Serious Crimes Department. He is known as a prosecutor who enjoys the support and trust of Americans. Even Jholi has investigated important issues such as the alleged assassination of former MP Tom Doshi and drug trafficking issues.
