Problems with biometric device in Tirana, citizens cannot vote

The electoral process has begun in most of the country, but not without problems. At one of the polling centers in Tirana, specifically at the "Dëshmorët e Lirisë" school, citizens faced difficulties in exercising their right to vote, due to the malfunctioning of the biometric identification device.

Members of the election commission at this center have announced that if the defect is not resolved within three hours, they will proceed to the manual identification process, in accordance with the instructions for such cases.

Meanwhile, citizens were seen waiting outside the school premises, while the situation remains tense due to delays. It is not yet known whether similar problems have been recorded in other centers in the capital.
