Ilir Proda was approved by the government on Wednesday as head of the State Police after the departure of Muhamet Rrumbullak.

Ulian Shpataraku, who is currently the head of the department for the investigation of narcotics and traffic, will be appointed to the task until the selection of the new director of DVP Elbasan through a competition for district directors, which is expected to open soon.

"Honorable greetings, in advance I inform you that, starting from 03.10.2024, until the end of the candidature selection for the Director of the Local Police of Elbasan, according to article no. 61 point 2 letter d, the exercise of the delegation of powers will pass to the police officer, Commissioner Ulian Shpataraku, who is currently the Head of Sector in the Sector for Narcotics and Trafficking Investigation, in the Elbasan Local Police Directorate", it is stated in notice.
