Berisha with the conservative group in the EC: Albania is a narco-dictatorship, drug money is being used in elections

Berisha with the conservative group in the EC: Albania is a narco-dictatorship,

DP leader Sali Berisha held a meeting with the conservative group at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, thanks to the tour he is conducting in Strasbourg.

In his speech, Berisha said that today, almost 30 years after Albania's membership in the Council of Europe, unfortunately my country is the first and only drug-dependent state in Albania.

Berisha : Ladies and gentlemen, honorable members of the European Parliament.
I want to thank you from my heart for the great honor you have done me, to present to you in this session, the current situation in Albania.
I have been here more than in any other institution.
I came as the president of the country.
I came as the leader of the opposition, for 8 years in a row.
I came as the prime minister.
But today, almost 30 years after Albania's membership in the Council of Europe, unfortunately my country is the first and only drug-addicted state in Albania.
Albania in this 30th anniversary is a country where, before the elections, the prime minister aims for the 4th mandate, by arresting the three main leaders of the Albanian opposition.
He arrested me for 330 days without any criminal facts. They accused me of passive corruption and for a bill for a week of vacation for health reasons.
My son-in-law has been under 'house arrest' for 440 days for a 110-meter property that was inherited by his grandparents, everything documented with official documents belonging to his family.
The other leader of the second opposition party, the former president, former prime minister of the country, Ilir Meta, was brutally arrested while entering Tirana, being dragged from his car and without showing his identification documents.
Although he is a person under investigation, he is in prison, even though there are no charges against him.
The third leader of the other opposition party is Fatmir Mediu, the former Minister of Defense during Albania's NATO membership, and is being tried for a case that was closed 15 years ago without any concrete facts.
Fredi Beleri, a member of the European Parliament, was also imprisoned after Edi Rama sought to acquire thousands of square meters of land near the sea.
Also, Ervin Salianji, another MP, was arrested because he denounced the brother of the former Minister of the Interior, after he was convicted in Italy, for directing drug trafficking from Vlora.
Now if you take into account the population of Albania, the country also lost the right to innocence, this has happened to justice. Albania has become a narco-state, the only country in Europe. In 2015, Edi Rama filled Albania with cannabis, and also implicated the police in planting cannabis.
About 12 billion euros were created by cannabis traffickers and then these were connected to Latin American traffickers and are now very powerful with their connections in cartels, such as the one in Sinaloa.
Honorable members, Edi Rama himself is tired of these organizations.
In his office there is an advisor who coordinates the activities of these organizations. He welcomed the Albanian boss of Sinaloa into his office and gave him permission for a casino and a 5-star hotel.
Organized crime is very famous and very involved in elections.
French, Belgian and Dutch authorities have handed over thousands and thousands of pages of organized crime messages, taken from encrypted phones.
The communication reaches Edi Rama and his ministers.
It was discovered that half of the communications were also related to election fraud and we are now in the electoral elections.
The Prime Minister is distributing gifts to pensioners, giving them 100 euros per person, to secure their vote.
There are over 700 Albanians. It is a government decision to provide pension bonuses for voting.
But there are also tens and hundreds of millions of euros of cannabis that have been used to buy votes, and also the mafia's threat to people to vote for them.
Albania is in a desperate situation.
From 2014-2023, 1 million and 99 thousand Albanians have left the country, fleeing to the Schengen area.
The economy and industrial production are declining.
Exports as a result of drug trafficking euros have been devalued by 35% and exports have fallen by 32% and thousands of Albanians are losing their jobs.
A prime minister that Europe has never seen, who leads a country like a dictator and a narco-dictator.
You cannot understand what is happening, that is why I am here to tell you the truth and assure you that people have no other choice but to fight the narco-dictator.
I am convinced that he will have no future.
The narco-state is not dangerous, but it is dangerous for the entire continent of Europe and I thank you for your attention.
