Italian authorities have completed questioning Nors Marlapz, the mother of Mark Samson, the 23-year-old man arrested for the murder of his ex-partner Ilaria Sula. She is accused of complicity in the concealment of the body, an offense that carries a prison sentence of up to three years.

The interrogation process lasted about four hours and took place in the presence of an interpreter, requested by the suspect herself. According to Italian media, during her testimony, Marlapz admitted that she helped her son clean up blood stains in the apartment.

At the end of the hearing, prosecutor Maria Perna formalized the charge of collaboration in hiding the body. According to Mark Samson's defense lawyer, Fabrizio Gallo, the defendant's mother was at home at the time of the incident, unlike her husband.

"Her position is being clarified, but she is currently under investigation. She has stated that she helped with the cleanup, which aggravates the accusation against her," Gallo said.

Regarding the possibility of a psychiatric evaluation for Samson, the lawyer adds that this is an option that could be considered, depending on the dynamics of the event and his personal history.

"It is not necessary, but it is one of the options we are considering, to better understand the young man's mental state at the time of the crime. This is a tragic case and the pain that Ilaria Sula's family is experiencing is unimaginable. I join their condolences," Gallo declared.
