As part of the operation codenamed "Bridge", the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has communicated the security measure "prison arrest" for Ekil Nderjaku, who is currently in prison.

Nderjaku is one of six people accused of the assassination attempt on former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, which occurred between September 4, 2020 and January 30, 2021, in collaboration with other people still unidentified by the authorities.

According to the investigative file, he is also suspected of having provided the conditions and material means for the elimination of Mitri Prifti, during the same period of time, increasing suspicions of his involvement in serious criminal activities.

In the same operation, a security measure was also issued for former RENEA officer Altin Morina, who is accused of involvement in international drug trafficking. Morina is found to have collaborated closely with Ekil Nderjaku within the narcotics trafficking network.

Operation "Ura" has exposed a vast criminal network involved in assassinations, international drug trafficking and money laundering. Investigations by SPAK continue, while it is expected that the roles of other persons involved will be revealed and the accomplices still at large will be discovered.
