Balliu after the elections: We will not accept the farce, opposition resisters

Klevis Balliu, the political leader of the Democratic Party for the Tirana Region in the May 11 elections, has thanked the voters of the united opposition, describing them as "extraordinary resisters" who did not give up in the face of what he calls an "electoral farce."

In a public statement, Balliu states that they will not accept legitimizing the electoral process, emphasizing that the work and sacrifice of the citizens who supported the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition will not be forgotten.

"To the extraordinary resisters of Branch 16, I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their heroic work. Accepting the electoral farce as an election means throwing away the work and sacrifice of these undefeated people. We will never allow their sweat and toil to go in vain," declared Balliu.

He added that the opposition will continue the battle for democracy and free elections, standing by the citizens who refused to submit.
