A 5-year investigation by the Special Prosecution Office and the Bari Prosecution Office concluded with 51 security measures against members of a Durrës-based cocaine trafficking criminal organization - among whom Elvis Doçi, also known as Visi i Pojës, was declared wanted.
According to the investigative file of the Italian authorities, the organization had as its main leader the citizen Xhevdet Troplini.
Journalist Eni Ferhati revealed on the Now show on Euronews Albania that Xhevdet Troplini has a past record for drug trafficking, was arrested and then released.
"He is known as a businessman in the poultry field, and has recently entered the coffee market. He has been publicly and politically exposed because of a photo where he appeared next to former President Ilir Meta, the leader of the SMI at the time," said Ferhati.
