The Albanian ship "Butrinti" P-134, part of the NATO mission in the Aegean Sea, has conducted a search and rescue (SAR) operation, assisting 13 migrants, including 2 children.
The operation was conducted in close cooperation with the Greek and Turkish Coast Guards, and ended without any incident.
The news was announced by the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, through an announcement on social media.
This is the fourth SAR operation conducted by the Albanian Naval Force in the Aegean during 2025 with 111 lives saved.
