Announcement :

After a year of investigations into the murder of citizen A.Xh. in Greece, the Korça Prosecutor's Office concludes the investigations and sends citizens AT and GL to trial for 'Intentional Murder' committed in collaboration

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, completed the investigations and sent citizens AT and GL to trial for the criminal offense of 'Intentional Murder' committed in collaboration as provided for in articles 76 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

At the conclusion of the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 387 of 23.12.2008, previously closed and reopened, the prosecutor of the case has delegated the performance of a series of investigative actions carried out using special methods, with the aim of carrying out the most complete and objective investigation possible, taking into account the long time that has passed since the last investigative actions were carried out.

Referring to the acts, evidence and indications administered during the preliminary investigation phase, it is proven beyond any doubt that the defendants GL and AT alias JC alias A. Xh. alias MD alias MC alias AD on 07.12.2008, at around 00:10 in the Athens area on “Efpalinu” street, in collaboration with each other, after a violent conflict between two Albanian groups for weak motives, caused citizen A.Xh. injuries to various parts of the body as a result of blows with hands/fists, sticks and a knife, where referring to the autopsy as the cause of death, it was concluded that severe damage to the left part of the chest and heart came as a result of the fatal blows.

From the analysis of the acts administered in the preliminary investigation phase, it was proven beyond any doubt that the defendants GL and AT (currently in custody), have committed the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder", provided for by Article 76 of the Criminal Code, an offense committed with active illegal actions, carried out in collaboration.
