Counting for preferential vote in Tirana ends, Xhaçka receives mandate

The counting of preferential votes in the Tirana District has been completed.
Olta Xhaçka of the Socialist Party has once again secured the mandate of MP, leaving Blerina Gjylameti out of parliament by a narrow margin.
Xhaçka managed to receive 6213 votes compared to the 6085 that Gjylameti received.
We recall that Gjylameti has officially addressed the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, with a request to make available the video footage of the vote counting in Tirana.
Over 15 candidates for MPs on the open list of the SP and DP have requested from the CEC the video footage of the vote counting.
